Refunds & transfers

Changes are free until 14 days before race weekend. After that we've already committed to equipment, staffing and race packs, so we can't refund — but you can still pass your entry to someone else.

Moving between Saturday and Sunday is free at any time up to 14 days before race weekend, subject to space on the day you want. Email hyroxsim@racewanaka.co.nz with your reference number.

Free up to 14 days before race weekend. If you move to a more expensive entry type you'll pay the difference; if you move to a cheaper one we'll refund the difference to the original card.

Entries are transferable up to 14 days before race weekend at no charge. Email us the new athlete's name, date of birth, email and emergency contact. Money changes hands between the two of you, not through us.

For doubles, either athlete can be swapped out — the entry stays with the team, and the team's age grade is recalculated from the new pair.

• More than 42 days before race weekend: full refund less a TBC administration fee.
• 15 to 42 days before: TBC% refund.
• 14 days or fewer: no refund, but you may transfer your entry as above.

If you're injured or unwell and can't race, get in touch as early as you can. With medical evidence we will offer a transfer or a credit toward the next event. Turning up sick helps nobody.

If we cancel or abandon the event for any reason within our control, you get a full refund of your entry fee. The venue is indoors, so weather alone will not stop us.

If the event cannot proceed for reasons outside our control — a public health order, a natural event, loss of the venue — we will refund what we can after unavoidable costs, or offer a credit for a rescheduled date. We'll tell you exactly where the money went.

Refunds go back to the card used for the original payment, in New Zealand dollars, usually within 5–10 business days. We can't refund to a different card or account.
